Pat

Created from her extensive regional and international photography shots from trips over the past ten years, Pat has stripped each photographic image to its bare essentials and combined them with her original graphic and design elements. The final results are a unique visual interpretation of the original landscapes and memories, transformed into a contemporary but classic printed image.
Pat's artistic background began in fine arts and education at Miami University. After teaching high school fine arts in Ohio, a career change led her to New York where she presently resides. As a jeweler and graphic designer, photography was a means of capturing elements to be incorporated later into a design or as a visual record, but the photos began to take on a life of their own. This renewed interest in her photography combined with her graphic base has culminated in these fine art works.
Artist Statement
I believe image-making helps us visualize a different perspective of the everyday things around us, whether it is through photography, pen and ink, pencil or printmaking. My respect and appreciation of great printmakers and photographers is reflected in each piece.
The challenge of deconstructing that original image and having its essence reinvented and metamorphosized provides me with a deep satisfaction; that all thoughts and images can have multiple facets and viewpoints with each interpretaion.
I approach my work seriously and hope my imagination and thought processes captured in each print will evoke the same response in you, the viewer.
All of the prints on this site are created on smooth 100gsm watercolor stock with aqueous archival pigmented inks. All of the prints are limited editions from 25-100 prints. Each print is signed and numbered in pencil by the artist for authenticity.
This site tries to maintain the actual colors of each print to be as exact as possible, but due to the visual differences from screen to screen and printer to printer, the colors you see may not be exact.
